Siena is universally known for its enormous historical heritage and famous for the Palio.

Every year on July 2 and August 16 in Piazza del Campo there is the traditional horse race bareback between the 17 districts of Siena, which monopolizes the attention of the city for several days. The stake is not only the historical revisiting of an old medieval joust but it is the expression of the ancient and deep-rooted tradition of Siena. We advise you to see it at least once in your life and to make the unique experience of participating in contrada dinners in the evenings leading up to the Palio.

In 1995, its historic center has been awarded the 'UNESCO title HERITAGE OF HUMANITY' .

Siena is located in central Tuscany in the middle of a vast hilly terrain. Surrounded by the Chianti area to the north are its vineyards and olive groves of high quality among the most prestigious in Italy. To the south crossing the Val d'Orcia you arrive in the famous city of Brunello Montalcino.

The Crete Senesi offers a spectacular landscape to the east.
